Happy Tuesday, reader friends! It’s my second week linking up with That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday & the topic this week is: “Page to Screen Freebie” and I’m taking you on a date night spin! My first thought was to share my favorite series that I’d like to see made into movies because obviously, the world needs more great stories and if they aren’t going to read them, they should at the very least, watch them!
That, however, was a ridiculously long list which I had no hope of narrowing down until I realized that the number one person who I wish I could share my love of books with is my movie-loving, book-shunning husband! My new mission is to find ten books that my husband and I could enjoy together … if they were movies, which generally means action for him with romance for me!
page to screen for date night
The Tox Files series by Ronie Kendig
I might have to cover my eyes for a few action scenes and tissues will be required!
Chesapeake Valor series by Dani Pettrey
We love investigative dramas and this series has great romance to boot!
Vikings of the New World saga by Heather Day Gilbert
Vikings!!! (enough said)
Montana Rescue series by Susan May Warren
Glacier National Park and several other wow factor locations make this search and rescue romance series a no-brainer!
Blue Justice series by Lynette Eason
Law enforcement plus romance in the south?! I’m so glad I didn’t have to choose just one!
Hidden Justice series by Cara Putman
Think lawyers are boring? Think again!
Atlanta Justice series by Rachel Dylan
I love the romance-suspense balance in this series! More attorneys who don’t mess around!
Dive Team Investigations series by Lynn H. Blackburn
I can’t get enough of this new-to-me author’s work!
Sunrise at Normandy series by Sarah Sundin
History, Texans, AND England?! These are a few of my favorite things!
Lost Castle series by Kristy Cambron
Each book delivers three action-packed time periods with plenty of romance and fascinating historical detail!
I’m living in a dream world to expect all of these to be made into movies but maybe my husband will give audiobooks a try!
Would you be interested in any of these book to film suggestions?
What is a page to screen story you’d choose for date night?
Yessss!!!! I love this! Great spin on the topic!

I too, would need some action and suspense in order to draw my husband in! I love this list. Now….if only these authors could get some screenplays in the works!

Thank you, Beth Erin 🙂 I can’t even imagine the budget that would be required for my books – historic ships & planes and combat sequences – or CGI – but it’s fun to dream.

I love your take on this weeks topic, and you never know maybe one day you’ll be able to enjoy this books as films with your husband. Until then I suppose audiobooks are the next best thing aren’t they? 🙂

I love this list! And if ONLY the Viking books would get picked up by a production company. We can only hope! Thank you!

SUPER fun topic, Beth Erin. ? Love this. Who wouldn’t want to see any of Ronie’s heroes / stories come alive on screen; Dani’s would be brilliant; Cara’s have all the makings of a good legal thriller; and Sarah’s NEED to be adapted (by the right company). Also, Kristy’s sound fascinating! Thanks so much for visiting Finding Wonderland. Apologies it took me so long to visit here.
