2017 top amusing reads on Faithfully Bookish

Next up… amusing reads! From wildly relateable (are these authors watching my house?!) to out of the box quirky, this swoof file is loaded with stories that put a big goofy grin on my face (or make me laugh out loud)! These aren’t fluff-stories, they just have that extra wow factor in the entertainment department! Each of these books has been featured on Faithfully Bookish in 2017 so y’all can get the scoop by clicking the covers below for more about these lovely stories!

The Cimarron Legacy series
by Mary Connealy

Long Time Gone by Mary Connealy Too Far Down by Mary Connealy

I have thoroughly enjoyed every Mary Connealy story that I have ever read! This series has plenty of humor and sass to make the romance fun and soften the suspense just a tad.

Count Me In
by Mikal Dawn

Count Me In by Mikal Dawn

“He wants to give her the adventure of a lifetime. She just wants a latte.” Yep, I think that line pretty much sums up the wonderfulness of this story. I love it!

My Heart Belongs in Ruby City, Idaho
by Susanne Dietze

My Heart Belongs in Ruby City, Idaho by Susanne Dietze

It’s a mail-order bride mix-up that goes perfectly wrong. I’ve read a lot of marriage of convenience stories and I just love the twist in this one!

Blown Together
by Janet W. Ferguson

Blown Together by Janet Ferguson

From Roy-isms and the hairless cat to the quirky habits of our heroine and the leading man’s honest reaction to it all, this story still makes me smile!

Lone Star Hero’s Love Story series
by Shelley Shepard Gray

An Uncommon Protector by Shelley Shepard Gray Love Held Captive by Shelley Shepard Gray

These former officers fall head over heels and their courtin’ skills are adorably awkward at best.

Hawthorne House series
by Kristi Ann Hunter

An Uncommon Courtship by Kristi Ann Hunter An Inconvenient Beauty by Kristi Ann Hunter

There’s never a dull moment with the Hawthorne family! Each sibling (and each story) is delightfully unique and I adore them all!

The Engagement Plot
by Krista Phillips

The Engagement Plot by Krista Phillips

Our heroine goes into hiding after her reality tv prince charming royally sticks his foot in his mouth… he decides to win her back or at least fake it and hilarity ensues.

Out of the Ordinary
by Jen Turano

Out of the Ordinary by Jen Turano

Zany, quirky, and completely endearing characters in outrageous situations make this story a rereadable treat!

The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck
by Bethany Turner

The Secret Life of Sarah Hollenbeck by Bethany Turner

Sarah made a fortune by writing a risqué romance novel… became a Christian… and now has a monster crush on her pastor.

Heart on the Line
by Karen Witemeyer

Heart on the Line by Karen Witemeyer

These two are just too cute for words! The ladies of Harper Station are a unique brood with personality to spare!
