Storm Front by Susan May Warren

These Montana Rescue installments are the meat and potatoes of my pleasure reading! Hold on for book 5, Storm Front by Susan May Warren!

about the book

Storm Front by Susan May WarrenA tornado has destroyed a small Minnesota community and among the missing are not only a group of students but PEAK Rescue team leader Chet King. Ty Remington will stop at nothing to rescue his mentor, not even when the girl he loved–and lost–walks back into his life. But Brette needs his help more than he knows, despite her stubborn determination to push him away. And when he gets a second chance, loving her just might cost him more than he can imagine.

A blogger for Vortex Storm Chasers, Brette Arnold didn’t expect her adventures to land her in the same place as Ty, the guy who she walked–no, ran–from over a year ago. She had her reasons–good ones. The kind that tell her that falling for him again would only lead to heartache. But Ty isn’t the kind of man to give up–not on the missing students, or on her.

Life and love hang in the balance in Susan May Warren’s breathless story of holding on to hope during a deadly summer of storms.

my thoughts

With intense weather events, action-packed rescues, and down-to-earth authentic romance, this story simultaneously delivers a satisfactory happily ever after (for not one but two lovely couples) AND supercharges the anticipation level for the final installment of the Montana Rescue series.

Ty Remington finally steps out of the background, ladies, so have your fainting couches ready for a swoon to hit with the force of a mack truck! If his rugged good looks don’t knock you flat over, his compassion and burden for the lost will most certainly require vigorous fanning for your teary eyes. Ty’s heart is as big as his beefy physique and he has the kind of faith that moves mountains or in this case, the aftermath of emotional and physical storms.

Brette Arnold has been through the wringer over the last year and her spirit is battered and broken. Fear and anger have her heart locked up tight and she’s white-knuckling her way through life. While she wasn’t an easy character for me to love, thanks to her prickly defenses, Brette’s experience tugs at the heartstrings and reminds us that hurting people

A tornado on the cover might set the bar high but Storm Front exceeded my high expectations! I love the way Susan May Warren keeps all of the characters within the PEAK team involved during the entire series. Her engaging style captivates readers page after page throughout this binge-worthy series! I highly recommend Storm Front and the entire Montana Rescue series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

Have y’all ever seen a tornado in person?
I was 9 or 10 years old, it is an unforgettable experience!
Have you read Storm Front?

  1. I never saw the tornado because I was in school at the time. Parents were allowed to pick up their children earlier than usual. My Mom came and got us and we went all over town looking at the damage until the National Guard came and made everyone leave. That was over 50 years ago.

  2. Yes, saw one in a pasture across from us, but thankfully it turned and didn’t come towards our house. Scary and awesome at the same time. I have a lot of respect for storms and storm shelters.

  3. I absolutely loved Storm Front! I’ve been enjoying the Montana Rescue series so much. Susan May Warren is one of my favorite authors. Thanks for the review, Beth!
