“Tonight was no ordinary night, not for Amy Deerson, at least.”
my thoughts
Here’s a fun little tidbit about Amy, she’s a quilter! Which reminds me (hang on for an unrelated side note), I’m way behind on my auntie quilting list! One little sweetheart is celebrating a second birthday today and still waiting on a baby quilt from Aunt Bethy. There’s one more tike on deck and another joining the team this fall! I might have to dip into my book fund to produce all that fabric! (and back to swoofness…)
Amy is especially relatable to me because of her small-town roots. Her determination has helped her become a thriving businesswoman in charming Sweet Dreams, Wyoming despite the unexpected detour of her dreams. Amy has pulled herself up by the bootstraps and moved on (or so she tells herself). Although she’s still single, I can’t help but love her eager-to-blossom mama heart.
Nash is such a sweet underdog hero. He’s willing to move heaven and earth to protect a couple of special gals no matter how much it costs his big ‘ol broken heart. Nash’s closest friends and stand-in mother figure form an endearing rag-tag family. I love the unique plot and the intimate small-town atmosphere!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
