Happy Friday, reader friends! Today’s featured title is a book from my list of highly anticipated mid 2019 reads! Check out the first line of Where Dandelions Bloom by Tara Johnson below, then open the book nearest you and share the first line!
I’ll be reading this story and sharing my review soon but here’s an insider tip: hop over to Seekerville on Tuesday, July 2 for Tara’s guest post and a chance to win your own copy of the book!

“Cassandra Kendrick! What have you done?”
Y’all are just itching to know what sweet Cassie has gotten herself into, right?! I know I am! The small yellow print on the front cover reads, “Disguising herself as a Yankee soldier might be her only path to freedom.” What?! Wow! This is going to be good, y’all! I can feel it!
If Tara is new to you, check out my review of her debut, Engraved on the Heart, then go to Hoarding Books to find more FLF bloggers!
Sounds interesting – and my kind of read!

I have both Tara’s books on my to-read pile 🙂
I’m sharing the opening line from The Secret to Hummingbird Cake by Celeste Fletcher McHale over on my blog today, and I’m currently reading Wickedly Charming by Kristine Grayson. I clicked “buy” on the first line of the sample:
“Book Fair. The very words of the sign filled Mellie with loathing. Book Fair indeed. More like Book Unfair.”
Quirky, and it appeals to my sense of humour. I’m halfway through and loving it! Happy reading 🙂
