Sebastian Ward didn’t growl, and he felt good about that.

He wanted to, and he would be well within his rights if he did. While he expected the 9:03 train to deliver a massive load of planed wood from his father’s Minnesota lumber mills, he wasn’t expecting an illegitimate brother as part of the deal.

The five-year-old, tear-stained boy standing in front of him said otherwise. And when a wet stain branded the front of the little guy’s trousers, Seb realized something else.
