Bayside Wishes by Stacy Claflin

Bayside Wishes by Stacy Claflin Faithfully Bookish reviewFreya Hunter is living the fabulous life. The west-coast girl rakes it in as a fashion model in New York City, but everything changes after she returns home for a quick visit.

The reunion with friends and family in Enchantment Bay is sweet, especially when she hits it off with Nico Valentin, a ruggedly handsome police sergeant. As Nico investigates the death, Freya learns a family secret big enough to turn her world upside down.

Freya is torn between her new life and her hometown — the life she loves vs. the brother who needs her and the sergeant who wants her. When her decision doesn’t go nearly as well as she planned, she wonders if she can help her brother and keep her growing feelings for Nico at bay before they consume her.

My Thoughts

I really enjoy family-centered series and romance so Bayside Wishes is right up my alley. Freya is the baby of her large family (along with her twin brother) and she is considering making the move back home to Enchantment Bay. I love the Hunter family’s strong bonds and sibling teasing. Freya’s modeling life in New York sounds torturous, I like to eat!

Nico is still a bit of the new guy in town and he is completely dedicated to his work in the police department. He is burning the candle at both ends to solve a murder. Nico’s ex-girlfriend back home starts to complicate his life when she decides she wants him back and then she becomes obsessive about making it happen.

Overall, I enjoyed this title and found it to be exciting and entertaining. The one drawback for me is that the language was more colorful than I’d like. Bayside Wishes is a good, clean romance with strong family ties and some crazy ex-girlfriend drama.

I recieved a copy of this title from the author in exchange for an honest review. The opinions expressed are my own.
