Hello, reader friends! This is MY “best books of 2019” list, my personal favorite reads of 2019! Consider it my standing ovation and enthusiastic cry “ENCORE!” for the authors and publishers of these stories.
At Faithfully Bookish 2019 was divided into three periods (early, mid, & late) and I shared my highly anticipated and favorite titles read for each of those periods (find earlier favorites here) and we’ve even covered reader moods! Now that half of January is gone, I’ve finally narrowed down my top 2019 favorite reads!
I’m always happy to share the stories I love most once or twice (or thrice) more so let’s chat about MY best books of 2019 then I want to hear YOURS! There are a few on this list which I read during the last week of December but still haven’t had a chance to review (read why here). I promise I’ll be sharing those reviews asap!
most popular spotlight posts
I’ve already shared my favorite lists of 2019 (cover love, highly anticipated reads, favorites, Top Ten Tuesdays, etc) so here are your favorite spotlights from 2019 (author interviews, specialty tours, etc.) according to the number of views for each post.
I’m so delighted that y’all enjoy the interviews because I love having author friends over for a virtual visit! There are already several interviews scheduled for 2020 so be sure to share your thoughts in the comments as you get to know these storytellers!
my best books of 2019
Book bloggers who are able to pick a top 10 or even a “book of the year” astound me! I read around 150 stories this year and narrowing it down to a couple of dozen was torturous (for those series/authors I’ve read multiple books from in 2019, I only listed one)! The books below are in no particular order and ones I personally adore and look forward to rereading in the future.
Contemporary
Storm Rising by Ronie Kendig, Sweet on You by Becky Wade, Just One Kiss by Courtney Walsh, A Match for Emma by Pepper Basham, The Rancher’s Unexpected Baby by Jill Lynn, The Dating Charade by Melissa Ferguson, Wooing Cadie McCaffrey by Bethany Turner, One Final Breath by Lynn H. Blackburn, Knox by Susan May Warren, You Belong with Me by Tari Faris, Living Lies by Natalie Walters, The Kiss Dare by Jessica Kate
Split Time
Whose Waves These Are by Amanda Dykes, Castle on the Rise by Kristy Cambron, Memories of Glass by Melanie Dobson, The Secrets of Paper and Ink by Lindsay Harrel
Historical
A Bound Heart by Laura Frantz, Aiming for Love by Mary Connealy, Of Fire and Lions by Mesu Andrews, Daughters of Nothern Shores by Joanne Bischof, A Reluctant Bride by Jody Hedlund, The King’s Mercy by Lori Benton, The Number of Love by Roseanna M. White, The Spice King by Elizabeth Camden, Hope’s Highest Mountain by Misty M. Beller, Underestimating Miss Cecilia by Carolyn Miller, Until the Mountains Fall by Connilyn Cossette, A Pursuit of Home by Kristi Ann Hunter
If you see some of your favorites on my list perhaps you’ll find a few more to add to your list!
I’d love to know what your best books of 2019 are! Don’t you just love these covers?!
You have very good taste that’s similar to mine! LOL Many of these are on my top reads of 2019 list, too! It’s so hard to narrow it down, isn’t it? I’ve gotten better at narrowing down the type of books and the authors that I like to read, so that makes it even harder!
