Happy Tuesday, reader friends! It’s time again to link up with That Artsy Reader Girl for Top Ten Tuesday! The topic this week is: “Bookish Discoveries I Made In 2019.” Since Faithfully Bookish is all about connecting and encouraging, I thought I’d connect y’all with authors new to me in 2019 and encourage you to check them out for yourselves! Here are a dozen authors whose work I read for the first time in 2019! Click the author pics to see all posts featuring the author and book covers for individual titles.
authors new to me in 2019
Lindsey P. Brackett
The Bridge Between by Lindsey P. Brackett is a sweet women’s fiction title with romance and I also had the pleasure of meeting her in person at a reader event in the spring!
Morgan L. Busse
The Ravenwood Saga by Morgan L. Busse is decidedly outside of my normal reading routine but I bravely ventured into my daughter’s reading happy place and we BOTH loved these stories! I had the pleasure of meeting Morgan at a writers’ conference in the fall!
Patrick W. Carr
The End of the Magi by Patrick W. Carr was featured by two publicity companies I partner with and I picked it up because I’ve had my eyes on some of his fantasy titles for my kids. After reading this title, I’ll definitely be fulfilling their requests!
Tari Faris
Restoring Heritage series by Tari Faris hit close to home for me with its small-town setting and sweet romantic attraction.
Melissa Ferguson
The Dating Charade by Melissa Ferguson is a delightful romantic comedy with heart (and I’m not just referring to the cover)! I had the pleasure of visiting with Melissa at a reader event in the spring… I feel like I may have met her before then and maybe bumped into her again at a writers’ conference in the fall but 2019 is a blur so there’s really no telling at this point!
Elizabeth Goddard
Uncommon Justice series by Elizabeth Goddard is an action-packed romantic suspense set in the Pacific Northwest (all things which make me very happy)!
Grace Hitchcock
The White City by Grace Hitchcock surprised me in the best way! I was expecting gloomy intrigue and was treated with humor, wit, and intrigue. I needed her stories in my life!
Jessica Kate
Australian Rom-Com by Jessica Kate promises to be unputdownable in novel form once I finally have a chance to pick it up! I’ve read and reread her short story, The Kiss Dare, numerous times and adore it! I had the pleasure of meeting Jessica at a writers’ conference the year before last!
Sherrinda Ketchersid
Lord of Her Heart by Sherrinda Ketchersid is a swoony Medieval era romance! I can’t wait to read more in this time period from Sherrinda!
Mindy Obenhaus
Rocky Mountain Heroes series by Mindy Obenhaus was a sweet binge read for me! I’ve been contributing to the group blog Seekerville with Mindy for a couple of years now we’ve had the opportunity to meet in person as well!
Natalie Walters
Harbored Secrets series by Natalie Walters has taken me to the edge of my romantic suspense comfort zone and I love it! Serious danger, sweet romance, and a southern small-town atmosphere kept me glued to the pages.
Abigail Wilson
In the Shadow of Croft Towers by Abigail Wilson is one of the few titles with a gothic vibe that I thoroughly enjoyed (I’m a big scaredy-cat)! I’m definitely looking forward to flexing my bravery for more of her stories!
Now that I’ve introduced y’all to 12 authors new to me in 2019, I’d love to hear who was new to you!
