Hope you have a great Friday the 13th and may it bring you nothing but good luck. We have had two gorgeous days – sunny and in the 70’s. We even took our first trike ride of the year yesterday although it was a bit windy. However, suppose to rain again today and then turn mighty cold again.

Excellent first line!
Today on my blog, I am sharing the first line from Chasing the Wind by Paula Scott. Here I will post the first line from the prologue of Romeo and Juliet. It’s the book closest to me right now because I’m currently teaching it to my 9 Honors kiddos.

This is one I haven’t gotten around to reading yet, but fully intend to do so. I have read and enjoyed many of Mary Connealy’s books. On my blog, I’m featuring Jen Turano’s book, A Match of Wits. It is now Sunday but here is my first line Friday line from The Redemption of Lillie Rourke by Loree Lough.
Rain sheeted down the grimy window and puddled on the blacktop, and a dozen identical buses lined up in angled parking slots.
