Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren

These Montana Rescue installments are the meat and potatoes of my pleasure reading! Hold on for book 4, Troubled Waters by Susan May Warren!

about the book

Troubled Waters by Susan May WarrenBillionaire Ian Shaw can have everything he wants–except a happy ending. Or at least that’s what it feels like with his fortune recently liquidated, his niece, Esme, still missing, and the woman he loves refusing to speak to him. In fact, he doubts she would date him even if they were stranded on a deserted island.

Despite her love for Ian, Sierra Rose knows he has no room in his life for her as long as the mystery of his missing niece goes unsolved. The only problem is, Sierra has solved it, but a promise to Esme to keep her whereabouts secret has made it impossible to be around Ian.

When the PEAK chopper is damaged and Sierra lacks the funds to repair it, Ian offers a fundraising junket for large donors on his yacht in the Caribbean. But the three-day excursion turns into a nightmare when a rogue wave cripples the yacht and sends the passengers overboard. Shaken up and soaked to the bone, Ian finally has a chance to test his theory when he and Sierra do indeed find themselves washed up on a strange, empty shore.

It will take guts and gumption for the PEAK team to rescue the duo. But it will take a miracle to rescue Ian and Sierra’s relationship.

my thoughts

I don’t know how she does it but Susan May Warren continues to raise the bar in this series!!! The adventure level is officially through the roof and Oh. My. Heart. the ROMANCE, y’all! ????

As a little side note, if you haven’t gotten your hands on the prequel novella, If Ever I Would Leave You… do that! It really enhances Ian and Sierra’s story.

Ian Shaw is a laser-focused, take charge kind of guy with brains, business savvy, and an insatiable adventurous streak. He’s definitely a man in need of an anchor. I’ve been frustrated with Ian more than once over the course of the series yet he has the biggest heart and I just can’t help but love him!

Despite her flowery name, Sierra Rose is an anchor. She managed Ian’s life with her professional assistant superpowers before shifting gears to take care of the PEAK team with those same skills and more love than an honorary den mother (and cookies! She’s a kindred spirit for sure!)

These characters are my forever fictional friends and I love the way their stories and lives are so authentically intertwined. Montana Rescue series is worthy of reading over and over again and without a doubt one of my favorite series of all time!!! I highly recommend Troubled Waters and eagerly anticipate the final two installments.

Next up, a TORNADO!? Book 5 releases in July, check out the cover below!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

  1. Never visited but these books make me want to, for sure! Can’t wait for Storm Front and the following book. Totally need a happily-ever-after for Ty/Brett (and find out what exactly happened!) and Pete/Jess (squeal!).
