Happy Friday! I really enjoy Christy’s books! My first line (actually first 3 lines) is from His Secret Alaskan Heiress by Belle Calhoune: ” ‘Here it is. Fresh out of the oven. One reindeer pizza with feta and spinach,’ Sophie announced in a chirpy voice as she set the order down in the middle of the table.”

Good morning Erin!
I am currently reading The American Heiress Brides Collection which has 9 novellas. This first line is taken from the 7th novella in the collection:
A Family Inheritance by Lisa Karon Richardson…
“Anne Shepherd nibbled on the tip of one silk-gloved finger as she craned to see the length of the railroad track.”

Hi Beth! It sounds like you’ve had a busy birthday time, although cleaning out basements is not on my list of fun things to do on my birthday. 😀
My first line is “For once in his life, Trey Walker Stafford had aced his two older brothers.” from Peace in the Valley by Ruth Logan Herne.
I’m reading this in anticipation of meeting Ruthy in person in a couple of weeks! Woohoo!

“The sharp metallic click meant one thing. Someone had a gun pointed in Colt Stafford’s general direction.” From Back in the Saddle by Ruth Logan Herne, the first in her Double S Ranch series. I read Peace in the Valley, book three of this series, and liked it so much that I’m now preparing to read books one and two.
