I’m currently reading the Tox Files prequel novella, The Warrior’s Seal by Ronie Kending, so here are the first few sentences from the prologue (the first two lines of Chapter 2 aren’t as exciting):
Ride. Ride at all costs. Let not blade nor foe prevent success. Let not death stop you, lest all humanity pay for your failure.
Great lines and great book! Thanks for sharing, Yvette!
My first line comes from Regina Jennings new book For the Record.
Pine Gap, Missouri
Only a limited patch of Earth could claim the privilege of belonging to Texas.
This is true.
That line sounds so interesting! What is going to happen next?!
Here is my first line:
The Christmas Box
Richard Paul Evans
“It may be that I am growing old in this world and have used up more than my share of allotted words and eager audiences.”
Ugh, I feel like that everyday after I spend hours repeating myself to the kids!
In the wings of the Madeline & Hyacinth Live show, Prince Colin took a last swig of water. Perspiration ran along the collar of his knit pullover.
The first two lines of Chapter two in “A Royal Christmas Wedding” by Rachel Hauck
I just finished reading that book! Enjoy!
My Fist Line is from ‘Henry III: The Son of Magna Carta’ by Matthew Lewis. And it is actually a SHORT paragraph. Oops. Happy Friday!
“King Henry III of England is a monarch who slips from the notice of history. Many famous events took place during his reign, but few would know that he was sitting on the throne at the time they occurred. He is overshadowed by events before his rule, great problems and even greater personalities during his kingship, and by the force of will that was his son and successor.”
Paragraphs are good!
My 1st line from Debbie Macomber’s 44 Cranberry Point is:
Peggy Beldon walked into her newly planted garden, taking real pleasure in the sights and smells that surrounded her.
I heard great things about Debbie Macomber books but haven’t read any.
I just started Now and Forever by Mary Connealy. Here is the first line: “Matt Tucker could take people for only do long.”
I love Mary Connealy stories!!! Haven’t read that one yet, REALLY want to!!!
