My Thoughts

After the death of her husband, Shelby Kincaid is hoping to recapture the joy of her childhood for her daughters. Although I’ve never lived farther than 15 miles from my hometown, I can appreciate the peace and comfort she expects to find by returning to hers. When family history is deeply rooted in one place, it tugs your heart strings and gives you a feeling of awe.

AJ Sullivan is the reluctant owner of Shelby’s ancestral homestead. Unfortunately, that also makes him the target of her anger over both the initial loss of the home (involving his grandfather) and its current state of disrepair. Shelby’s return stirs up questions and pain from the past sending AJ on a quest for answers and closure.

I love the deep sense of family history and the legacy of love whispered throughout this story. Misty Willow is the kind of place I’d love to visit again and again. Where She Belongs is an excellent story of hope, redemption, and restoration, I highly recommend it!

Do you have a family connection to a place? My husband and I have family roots here in the county we live. That connection goes back several generations. Not that I’m opposed to moving away, I would love to begin a new chapter in a different locale.
