My Thoughts
I’m not a journaler, my mother encouraged me to give it a try for years and I just never got into it. I spent most of my time erasing or rewriting what I put down on paper. You should see me arrange and rearrange my words for each blog post, I’m sure it’s amusing to watch.
Gratitude is a hardcover book with the flexibility of a paperback so you can color and write on the go or in your favorite comfy place. There’s nothing more frustrating that trying to color in a flimsy book on your lap. Each two-page spread includes a prayer, scripture, and space for writing, doodling, and coloring.
For the journal-challenged like me, this book will remind you of the many areas we have to be thankful for and stir your creative juices. If you love to journal, you get the added bonus of prettying up your words on these spiffy coloring journal pages. This book would be a lovely gift as well.

I’ve never tried the adult coloring books but they sure seem to be popular. I was doing a book signing in Atlanta last month, and the bookstore had an entire area with numerous shelves for coloring books, coloring journals, and even a coloring book Bible. While I was there, a woman came in, and we started chatting. She shared she loves the coloring books and journals, and that she has trouble reading, but the coloring Bibles have helped her get into Scripture. It was awesome to see how even these books have a divine purpose, one I hadn’t thought about–getting those who might not pick up Scripture otherwise or who maybe feel intimated by it to read a Bible.
