My Thoughts

Gorgeous cover! Honestly, all the Mended Hearts series covers are so beautiful but book 2 here captures the small town vibe. This could be my hometown! Have you ever driven through another town and thought it felt like your kind of town? I get that feeling sometimes. Trapp, Texas feels like my kind of town.

Fawn Blaylock is a complex gal. She’s grown up being the spoiled little rich girl in town but when she finally comes to terms with her unplanned pregnancy, she’s determined to stand on her own two feet. Fawn might learn the hard way but she begins to see her life from a new perspective and it changes the way she thinks about her parents, her relationships, her faith, and even herself.

I love Fawn’s new unlikely supporters. Ruthie, Dodd, JohnScott, and others encourage and support Fawn when her world goes topsy-turvy. The Mended Hearts series is entertaining, encouraging, and re-readably good!

Varina Denman is author of the Mended Hearts series and a native Texan. She spent her high school years in a rural town and now writes stories about the struggles women face in similar small town settings.
