Happy Friday, reader friends! We at Hoarding Books invite you to join us in supporting, honoring, and celebrating Australia as readers and as compassionate people. Share below (or feature on your own First Line Fridays post) a book written by an Aussie author or set in Australia! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of those affected by the devastating bushfires sweeping across their beloved country. Check out the first line of The Kiss Thief by Jessica Kate below, then open the book nearest you and share the first line!
If you haven’t checked out the new linked Index page, I’d love to hear your thoughts on it!
I’ve just added a fresh title or two in the ebook deals under $3 on the shop page! As always, I only share books from authors I am familiar with or those that have been recommended to me by a well-read friend. Feed your ereader or Kindle app or try the Kindle Unlimited program or take the 2 free audiobooks Audible trial for a spin! Whichever way you choose to enjoy your stories, I wish you hours of happy reading this weekend!
The Kiss Thief by Jessica Kate
It was the perfect evening to commit a crime.
my thoughts
Jacqueline and Don are a perfectly adorable pair! Much like The Kiss Dare, this sassy short packs a storytelling punch! While I don’t advocate law-breaking, kisses are another matter entirely! The Kiss Thief is the perfect length (three chapters precisely) for rereading! These short stories from Jessica Kate are hugely enjoyable and I hope she continues to share them with the world! I love all the Aussie slang and, of course, the kisses!
I received an ebook copy of this title through the author’s newsletter. The opinions expressed are my own.
The author’s debut novel, Love and Other Mistakes, is near the top of my high priority tbr and Jessica Kate’s next release is within a week, A Girl’s Guide to the Outback! Go to Hoarding Books to find more FLF bloggers!
Happy Friday! I read The Kiss Thief earlier this week. Today I’m sharing the first line from Lake Season by Denise Hunter: “The house was eerily silent.”

The book I shared on my blog this week is Veiled in Smoke by Jocelyn Green but the book I’m just about to start is The Printed Letter Bookshop by Katherine Reay so I’ll share that first line here: “People parted around us in the courtyard.” Hope you have a wonderful weekend with plenty of quality reading time! 🙂
