There once was a girl who’d been praying for a husband since the fourth grade.
Did y’all know there are some fabulous deals on print books right now on Amazon? My Stubborn Heart arrived yesterday in a sweet little book haul which also included The Crossing at Cypress Creek, Just Let Go, The Hidden Side, Keep Holding On and a preordered The Way of the Brave. I even got a jump start on some birthday gifts (also books, obviously)!
Anytime I mention purchasing print books from Amazon I feel the need to caution my fellow readers to keep a close eye on the book condition and seller information in the smaller print before you add any title to your cart and never add to cart directly from your lists. Christianbook usually has the best bargains for print books but Amazon must be making space for 2020 books in their warehouses go see what bargains you can find in Christian Fiction books!

And, that girl would be me! LOL. I knew I wanted to be a mom at 4, but didn’t quite understand that a man was necessary until about the 4th grade. Great first line.
Today on my blog I am sharing the first few lines from The Blizzard Bride by Susie Dietze: https://christianfictiongirl.blog/2020/01/10/first-line-fridays-118/. I’m still working my way through this fun novel, so I will share another line or two from The Blizzard Bride.
“‘Forgive, forget, forgive, forget.’ The words formed a rhythmic refrain in Abby’s head, in time to the beat played by the group of fiddles and banjos Saturday evening at Mayor Carpenter’s birthday party.”
I hope you have an excellent weekend filled with relaxing reading time. ?❤️?
Too funny! Oooo, The Blizzard Bride is on my tbr! Happy reading, Nicole!
“She should have paid more attention to her longtime neighbor, Oliver Schneider, when she passed him on the road at dawn.” Echoes Among the Stones by Jaime Jo Wright
Ooooo! That line just gave me chills!! Jamie Jo is a master when it comes to giving me the shivers!
I still haven’t read a Becky Wade book. I have a different one on my bookshelf though to try 🙂
I think you’ll like it very much!
Happy Friday! Today I’m sharing the first line from Coral by Sara Ella: “Her soul was bleeding.”
My daughter really loved that one (I haven’t had a chance to read it yet)!
That’s a great first line! I read this book a few years ago and loved it ?
Today on my blog I’m sharing from The Way of the Brave by Susan May Warren. I just started reading More than We Remember by Christina Suzann Nelson. Here’s the first line: “The perp was a mama raccoon.”
Happy reading! ?
I still haven’t read it but it’s nice to have great books to look forward to! Thank you for sharing, Jen!
I love Becky’s books, but am ashamed to say I haven’t read this one! Off to add it to my TBR list…which is pretty much as long as the earth is round at the moment 😉
No book shaming here! So many books, so little time!
Happy Friday! I’m sharing from Volition by Chautona Havig on my blog today. Here is the first line from Chapter 18:
“For a week, I read my Bible, prayed like I’d never prayed before, and tried to ignore the skeleton that had moved into my closet.”
Uh oh! That sounds ominous!
I LOVE Becky Wade and have read every one of her books. This was one of my favorites (if I can even pick favorites from her books)! I hope you enjoy reading your bargain book haul! 🙂
She’s wonderful! Thank you, Ellie!
