What is your favorite activity or hobby not related to books?
J: I’ve been a walker for years, but we recently just started riding bikes and I LOVE it. An evening summer ride is just about perfect.
I’m also a bath addict. It’s my therapy—my reset place. I might read a whole book or binge some Netflix while escaping the world.
B: I think I need a more comfortable bathtub!
Do you have a favorite bookish habit?
J: My husband would say that I don’t hear anything when I’m reading…and he’d be right. I completely tune out the world and get lost in a book. ?
B: This is an important life skill.
Describe your current release in five words.
J: Sassy. Feisty. Heavy. Regret. Magnetic.
B: All the yeses!
What are some of the challenges you faced while writing your current release?
J: Mackenzie was so upset with Jace, and they fought so much that I had trouble making them get along. ? They were definitely feisty with each other!
B: Hmmm… passionate much?!
What is your reading style?
J: I’m an equal opportunity reader. I love my Kindle app on my tablet, but I’m also not afraid to take a paperback into the bathtub. A little watermarking on a book just means it’s well-read and well-loved. I will also read on my phone quite often. It’s nice to always have a book with me! And I’m a re-reader. If I loved a book, it’s not impossible for me to read it over and over again.
B: I was with you 100% until you mentioned potential book damage then I might have blacked out for a little bit.
What is your next release and what are you working on now?
J: I will be extending the Colorado Grooms series with books 4, 5 & 6. I recently finished book four and am now working on book five. ?
B: Yaaaaay!!! I’m so in love with this series!
