They can’t change the past…

but they can choose their future

Globe-trotting journalist Cassidy Fulton is back in Carbondale, Colorado. Only she can’t remember why—or the accident that killed her estranged sister. Helping her piece together this mystery is her brother-in-law and former fiancé, Daryl Loveland. Overcoming their grief seems impossible. Yet one thing is clear: Cassidy can’t imagine her life without Daryl or her adorable niece and nephew. But can the ranch ever really be her home?

my thoughts

A Rancher to Remember boasts bursts of white-knuckle action, two hurting kids, and a potential second-chance romance soaked in grief and regrets. This sixth installment of the Rocky Mountain Heroes series is an excellent book club selection thanks to the many topics and situations to spark discussion. If this story was a movie, I would definitely watch it and it would be a great pick for a ladies’ night in!

Cassidy’s compassion and dedication speak volumes about her character. I admire the way she harnesses her powerful photo-journalist talents to make the world a better place (one story at a time)! Daryl’s steadfastness and dogged determination serve him well as he strives to balance work, home, and happiness. It’s nice to see a good-guy hero with plenty of flaws.

If you enjoy steamy kisses, good folks, and healthy doses of conflict (and reconciliation) in your stories, A Rancher to Remember fits the bill! There’s never a dull moment with the Cade and Loveland crew and this is yet another entertaining addition to this series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

about the author

Award-winning author Karen Rock is both sweet and spicy—at least when it comes to her writing! The author of both YA and adult contemporary books writes sexy suspense novels and small-town romances for Harlequin and Kensington publishing. A strong believer in Happily-Ever-After, Karen loves creating unforgettable stories that leave her readers with a smile.

When she’s not writing, Karen is an avid reader who also loves cooking her grandmother’s Italian recipes, baking and having the Adirondack Park wilderness as her backyard, where she lives with her husband, daughter, dog and cat who keep her life interesting and complete.

  1. Thanks so much for your incredible review, Beth Erin! I would love for this to be a movie, too 🙂 So glad you loved the book and my flawed by loveable hero, Daryl.

  2. Is there another book coming in this series? So many unanswered questions, what happens with Boyd’s “brother” trying to take half the farm? How is Joy after her diagnosis?
