Hi, reader friends! We’re celebrating with a new-to-me author today and I think y’all are going to enjoy her story!
about the book
Marriage is no picnic. At least the one Vivian Emerson shared with her late husband hadn’t been. Unfortunately, the devastation Craig had brought into her life didn’t ended with his death. Not only did he leave Vivian without closure, he had to go and die in a way that made her the talk of the whole state of South Carolina and beyond. Now her daughter wants nothing to do with her because of him. She would just stick with the single life from now on, thank you very much.
For the last fourteen years since the death of his wife, Bo Manning never even considered wanting another woman in his life. That is until he comes to the rescue of a certain woman with haunting, jade green eyes. Despite Vivian’s resolve not to give her heart to another man, Bo sets out to patiently woo her into the loving relationship he is offering.
Irresistibly Yours reveals God’s fervent effectual call in the form of a classic romance.

Irresistibly Yours is an irresistibly delicious story! While most contemporary romances feature couples in their mid-twenties or thirties, it is refreshing and exciting to come upon a gem like this one with a vibrant prospective “second-chance at love” couple.
Vivian Emerson has been through the wringer thanks to her late husband and grief-stricken daughter. After her first year of sorrow and grief, she effectively, although tentatively, takes life by the horns and blazes her own trail alone. Bo Manning is a faithful, mister steady and wholly dedicated to his family. He is a pillar of strength and natural-born protector and quite attractive at that.
Don’t you just love it when a book grabs your attention from page one?! The Walden Beach community is a sweet little resort town and oh so appealing. This romance is full of humor, healing, and chivalrous wooing. I’m looking forward to more stories from this author!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
Craig Emerson would turn over in his grave if he could see her now. Rolling down Highway 22 toward Myrtle Beach, windows down, radio blaring a classic rock station, the wind blowing through her short hair, with a three-inch wedge sandal pressing down on the accelerator. No one—not even his wife—ever drove his orange and black, 1970 Plymouth GTX.
“Craig, are you seeing this?” Vivian Emerson had been talking to her husband this way ever since his death almost a year ago. After this weekend, she decided these little talks would come to an end. There had been plenty of things for her to get off her chest—things she had wanted to say while he was alive, but he would never listen.
So many times in the past year, she would go out to the garage, sit in Craig’s car, and pour her heart out. Sometimes she would talk quietly while tears streamed down her face, and other times she would yell. But this was the first time she’d actually driven his car. So far, her one-sided conversations on this trip had been backed with laughter. This trip to the beach would be her last act of letting go. She was ready.

If you could live on any beach, which one would you choose?

I think Cannon City Beach, Oregon. It just had a certain charm about it.
I’ve lived by the Pacific Ocean and visited the Atlantic Ocean, I might like to visit them but won’t want to live by one. I prefer away from the coast an in the mountains. 🙂 I do like to visit them though and have always wanted to go to Myrtle Beach because I’ve heard so many talk about it. Guess if I HAD to pick, I’d go that direction.
Thank you for your review and information on “Irresistibly Yours” by Andrea Boyd as well as being part of the book tour! I’d love the chance to read the book.

Beaches? Definitely Pauley’s Island, South Carolina. . . . very close to the setting in this story. I’m a Carolina girl, like Andrea, and it’s fun to see her witty personality shine through in her stories.
If I could live on any beach, I would choose Chincoteague Island because of the ponies and dolphins and huge ocean sandy beaches.
My favorite place on earth is Emerald Isle, North Carolina. My husband and I dream of retiring there. I even pick out things that would look good in my imaginary beach house.
One of the thing I love about Pinterest. I have an imaginary beach house board where I can dream of having a beach house.
I live in Central Florida so I can be at either the east or west coast within 2 hours.
On the west coast I prefer Sanibel or Captiva and on the east coast I prefer Daytona Beach.
Thanks for entering me in your giveaway.
I’ve been to Daytona and loved it! I’ve never seen the Pacific, though.
Our favorite beach is North Myrtle Beach!!!! Close enough to Myrtle Beach if we want to go, but a lot smaller & less crowded at NMB!! Would love to win! Thanks for sharing!
Walden Beach (imaginary) is set between Cherrygrove and the NC border, so it is closer to NMB.
Little River! 🙂
I enjoy the beaches in Hawaii.
I’d love to go there some day.
I’ve never been to a beach. Pretty sure the mountain lake beaches don’t quite count. ????
Fortunately, I’m only a few hours away from either one. But I couldn’t imagine going my whole life and never seeing the ocean. I hope you get the opportunity one day.
Oh, I’d choose Ocean City NJ as my beach. I have loved visiting there in the past.
I haven’t visited that many beaches, but of the places I have visited, I think I would settle on Hilton head Island of the coast of SC!
