about the book
Four top historical romance novelists team up in this new collection to offer stories of love and romance with a twist of humor.
In Karen Witemeyer’s “The Love Knot,” Claire Nevin gets the surprise of her life awaiting her sister’s arrival by train.
Mary Connealy’s “The Tangled Ties That Bind” offers the story of two former best friends who are reunited while escaping a stampede.
Regina Jennings offers “Bound and Determined,” where a most unusual trip across barren Oklahoma plains is filled with adventure, romance, and . . . camels?
And Melissa Jagears’ “Tied and True” entertains with a tale of two hearts from different social classes who become entwined at a cotton thread factory.
Each tale is a fun blend of history and romance that will delight readers.

my thoughts
The Love Knot
Harper’s Station is one of those fictional places that readers long to visit! Feisty Claire Nevin and her Irish brogue have played a prominent secondary role in the previous novels and she’s been a favorite of mine from the start! Seems to me, Claire’s stubbornness and lack of trust are merely protective prickles to guard her tender and compassionate heart. Her unexpected delivery (and deliverer) opens the door to new possibilities prompting Claire to reexamine the past and reconsider her plans for the future.
The Tangled Ties that Bind
This second generation Kincaid Brides story (with references to the Trouble in Texas and Cimarron Legacy series) is an absolute delight! Connor Kincaid left home to become a man worthy of the girl he loves (SWOON! How sweet is that, reader friends?! sigh) but our gal Maggie isn’t sitting around pining for him year after year, she is training to become a doctor (go, girl!) These two are super adorable together and they display compassion and maturity beyond their years. I could read book after book after book about the Kincaids and love every page!
Bound and Determined
This series is the only one I have not read but it didn’t take long for Private Bradley Willis to convince me THAT needed to change! Private Willis is a bit of a loose cannon but he means well and he’s certainly courageous. Ambrosia Herald is a spunky city gal and devoted daughter who wants to protect her recovering father but also keep the peace between her parents. I dare you NOT laugh at a story with camels and parasols in the same sentence. Funny stuff here, reader friends, plus plenty of adventure and flirtation.
Tied and True
Have you ever wondered what was happening between characters C and D while A and B are getting their happily ever after?! Answer time! C and D are dear friend fiancée, Marianne Lister, and dear friend assistant, Calvin Hochstetler, of A Heart Most Certain‘s hero, David. Mari is a classy lady (and I’m not referring to her family’s economic status), she extends compassion and generosity to anyone in need. Even though he takes it a bit far, I admire Calvin’s conservative approach to finances. This is an excellent addition to the Teaville Moral Society series!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
