  1. Thanks for the heads up on this special deal. 🙂

I have owned my Kindle for just under a month. I was able to get a special 3-month price deal of the Kindle Unlimited subscription when I purchased my new device, so I’m giving it a try. Things I’ve noticed about it include you can only have 10 books at a time, although there appears to be no limit to how many you can swap out during a month. And there are lots of books available via the subscription. I think the benefit of this subscription may have more to do with the type of reader you are. I’m not sure I’ll stick with the service, because in the long run I don’t know that it will be worth the value for the amount of reading I do. But for someone who reads a lot and is open to reading a wide variety of genres or styles, this could be a great way to go. Also if you like the idea of sampling books before making a purchase-to-keep-forever with your reading, this subscription could offer some value.

    1. Definitely! I’m currently on a KU trial and I’m SO pleasantly surprised with the number of fabulous Christian fiction titles available! (I’ll be doing a KU post detailing all the books I enjoyed on the service in the future)

  2. Thanks for the heads up. I’m going to be looking into a Kindle Fire so I can have my audio books on there too. LOL.

And I LOVE audible. 🙂 So many great books! I haven’t tried Kindle Unlimited yet. But maybe some day…

  3. Afternoon Beth! I have not tried Kindle Unlimited or Audible trials for my Kindlefire.
    Blessings, Tina

    1. Hi, Tina! You have the added bonus of sound for that Audible experience on your tablet! I have to use my smartphone when I want to listen to audio. 🙂

  4. My husband bought me a Kindle 6 or 7 years ago as a Christmas gift. I hadn’t asked for one and didn’t think I’d like it. How wrong I was! I loved its portability – I could read while nursing babies without having to fumble with page flipping. I could stuff it easily into my purse. I used to prop it on the window ledge while I washed dishes. I could read in a dark room without disturbing little ones falling asleep (and keep myself awake!). Books are less expensive and take up no space in an already crowded house. So, yeah, love my Kindle!

I haven’t tried Kindle Unlimited although my three books are available on that platform. I do make use of the Kindle Owners Lending Library with my Prime membership and not Kindle Prime Reading.

I have done an Audible trial. We liked it very much but just can’t afford any “extra” expenses at this time.

    1. Aw, yes! You love your Kindle well! Boy, I tell ya, keeping all the Kindle programs straight on Amazon is not easy! I also enjoyed an Audible trial but it wasn’t cost efficient for me since I prefer reading over listening and we can borrow audiobooks from the library.
