About the Book

Aggie’s patience is stretched to the max by attitudes, puppies, and holiday traditions. Those things can wear on any mommy but let’s throw in wedding planning while homeschooling five kids with three toddlers underfoot! Now that’s enough to put a frazzled mommy in the fetal position! Aggie pulls through it all with help from her friends. All mommies need friends like that!
Luke, Tina, and William are an indispensable support system through every trial and storm. Have the tissues ready, the one-year anniversary of the accident rolls around and brings a new wave of grief. There are plenty of funny kid moments and moms will relate to Aggie’s full spectrum of emotions.
If you cry at weddings as I do, you’re going to need some more tissues because Luke and Aggie’s wedding is a beautiful one! I love the everyday easy pace of Chautona’s books and Aggie’s texting, email, and messager conversations are some of my favorites. I’m so excited about Ante Up! From my earliest years, I spent most of my free time lost in a book, until one day I realized that I had stories in my heart and mind that I wanted to tell. Time passed, life, family, and work got in the way, and my dream of being a writer seemed to vanish into the desert winds.
“Dreams are beautiful things, though; they never quite disappear. I began writing again, editing, writing, editing… more editing… and now I have over a hundred books in progress and a few dozen published. I write the stories of fictional people who have real problems, weaknesses, and triumphs. Through their stories, I try to share the Hope that is within me.”
