my thoughts

I’ve been wanting to read a Becky Wade title for quite some time and now that I have, I feel compelled to read them all!

Dru Porter is one fierce woman, tough enough for a couple of NFL players to compare her to a comic book superhero. She is the kind of lady you don’t want to cross. I love how Dru is physically fit, mentally tough, and yet completely devoted to her loved ones. She’s beautifully complex and relatable.

When Dru is assigned as one of the guards for top NFL player Gray Fowler, he is convinced his teammates are pulling a prank on him. The relationship definitely gets off to a rocky although entertaining start. Dru and Gray keep up the lively banter throughout the ups and downs of the search for Gray’s stalker.

I am a big family-centered series fan so I especially enjoyed the interactions between the Porter siblings. Her One and Only is the fourth book in the Porter Family series yet new readers can jump right in and meet the whole Porter family at once. This book is a winning combination of suspense, romance, and drama.
