Hello, reader friends! Author Susan L. Tuttle is stopping by for a quick visit as part of a JustRead Publicity Tours blog tour and giveaway celebrating her new release Then Again, Maybe!
about the author
Susan L. Tuttle lives in the Mitten State where she’s a mom of three and happily married to her best friend. Between still homeschooling her youngest and leading the women’s ministry at church, she finds time to write.
An ACFW Carol Award finalist, she firmly convinced that letters were meant for words, not math, and loves stringing them together into stories that inspire and encourage.

q&a
Share five of your favorites.
S: outdoor activity – Hiking.
food – Cookies and tacos. 100%
television series – The Murdoch Mysteries
mode of vacationing – Someplace new I can explore and then return to a hotel and indoor plumbing at the end of the day 🙂
phrase – It’s all good.
B: Cookies and tacos forever, I am with you there!
Do you have a favorite bookish habit?
S: I’m calling this bookish related because books are made up of words, and I LOVE words. Because of that, I tend to gravitate toward household decorations full of bookish or Biblical quotes and encouraging sentiments. Hubby has told me I may have a bit of a problem …
B: Sounds cozy and encouraging. I don’t see any problem with that!
What did you learn or discover about yourself while writing Then Again, Maybe?
S: Oooh, this book centers on forgiveness and reconciliation, and it challenged me again to look at how I handle both of those things with some relationships in my life. There were a few places where I’d be writing dialogue or narrative and I realized I couldn’t write the words if I wasn’t willing to practice them too.
B: Ooo, ooo, ooo… that stings a little bit! Forgiveness is an excellent lesson worth revisiting as often as necessary.
What is your reading style?
S: I read on my Kindle quite a bit because my only reading time tends to be at night, typically when Hubby is already asleep. So having the Paperwhite
doesn’t hurt my eyes and allows me to keep the lights off. But I will ALWAYS be a girl who prefers holding a physical book in my hand. Even if I’ve read something on Kindle, if I loved it, I’ll buy the physical copy.
B: Yes! All of this, me too!
What is your next release and/or what are you working on now?
S: My next release is tentatively titled This Time Around and will be the third and final book in the Along Came Love series. It’s Rachael and Evan’s story. Readers will have seen Rachael in the first two books, but Evan first appears on the page in Then Again, Maybe. It’ll release in late 2021.
B: How wonderful!
What’s your writing style?
S: I am a total pantser! I typically know my characters, a small amount of their struggle (though they always surprise me as I write) and the theme. For me it’s the best way to ensure I’m relying on God as I write and not myself. I need him to show up every day and give me the next part of the story. It’s a lot of prayer and always a huge faith-building experience every time. And every time God faithfully provides all I need. These stories are all Him, not me 🙂
B: This control-freak applauds you! Thank you so much for taking the time to visit with us, Susan!
about the book
Then Again, Maybe by Susan L. Tuttle (Along Came Love book 2)
Publisher: BLING! Romance
Release Date: November 17, 2020
Genre: Contemporary RomanceFormer beauty queen Belle Thornton knows what it is to think she has it all, only to discover she never valued what was truly important. Raising her daughter and building a thriving thrift shop that helps single mothers like herself has taught Belle what the word beautiful really means. Unfortunately, thanks to her shady landlord, Belle must toss those hard-earned dollars into the money-pit of a rental that houses both her tiny apartment and her business or risk the city closing her doors. When funds dwindle as quickly as her to-do list grows, she is forced to rely on the absolute last rescuer she’d choose: Micah Shaw.
Leaving Belle at the altar, pregnant, was the worst choice Micah ever made. He returns home, hoping to reconcile with Belle and their toddler. While balancing his medical residency with caring for his ailing mother, he strives to win Belle’s heart again and ensure her business remains open. Helping with that is the easy part. Chiseling through the rock encompassing Belle’s heart is more of a challenge, but one he’s determined to conquer.
If only he could get her to realize that a new lease on love may be their best collaboration of all.
