Favorite ways to celebrate
L: No matter the occasion, I love to celebrate it surrounded by family, laughter, and of course, lots of yummy food. Growing up, we celebrated holidays at my grandparents’ farm and there were always people in and out with the dining room table laden with homemade dishes.
B: Can’t beat that! We definitely celebrate with food here, too!
Favorite indoor activity
L: Card making and stamping. Crafting is my therapy, and I love making cards to encourage and celebrate others.
B: I admire you crafty types!
Favorite dessert
L: Gluten-free German chocolate cake
B: Mmmmm, chocolate!
Favorite movie
L: My Fair Lady—I was introduced to the musical during 8th grade music class, and Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle found their way into my heart. Rex Harrison and Audrey Hepburn’s talents shine in the movie.
B: Oooo! I still need to watch that one!
Favorite place to visit
L: I’m a northerner by geography, but my soul pines for the beach. I love the sun warming my face, the sand between my toes, the wind playing with my hair, breathing in the salty, balmy air. We’ve visited Sanibel Island off the Gulf Coast in Florida, but I also love Destin, Fl. I live near one of the Great Lakes, so I get my freshwater beach fix when I’m unable to travel.
