With a gentle nod to the story of the prodigal son, Until the Mountains Fall is a breathtaking addition to the Cities of Refuge series. Cossette masterfully brings the diverse cultures of biblical times to life with vivid authenticity. Brief glimpses of these sanctuary cities in scripture are intimately fleshed out in a way that touches the heart and stirs the spirit.
The story of Rivkah and Malaki presents a complex combination of childhood frienemies, sibling linked relationship, and marriage of convenience. I was enthralled by each subtle emotion, motivation, and reaction. This story especially touched my mama-heart and left me filled with gratitude for the reminder that God loves each of His children exponentially more than even their earthly parents can fathom.
Each installment in the Cities of Refuge series occupies its own piece of the timeline and the periods of silence between each story allows them to shine all the brighter individually. God’s mercy and grace are the foundation of this novel and I cannot stress enough how highly I recommend it and every previous work by this author.

I have wanted to read Biblical fiction, and after reading your review, Erin, I am going to start with Connilyn’s Cities of Refuge series! I have just ordered A Light On The Hill. I love the story line, but all of the story lines in this series sound like my cup of tea. I can’t wait to start them.
