If you’re looking for a great binge read, I highly recommend Heart of the Mountains books 5 & 6, This Homeward Journey and This Daring Journey, because who can resist twin heroes?! Not me! Revisiting beloved characters is one of my favorite aspects of series and especially lengthy series like this one.
Moriah is the perfect combination of fiery and vulnerable and she’s a great match for the quiet, patient, and protective Samuel. Moriah takes motherhood to a truly fierce level. She is seriously one boss mama! Samuel is chivalry personified and his physical endurance is truly impressive! Moriah’s inspiring bravery and fledgling faith blossom and grow in the safety of Samuel’s steadfastness and encouragement.
The wonderful characters in this series are the kind of folks I wish weren’t fictional because I’d love the opportunity to meet them! The dangerous realities of the time period and unforgiving mountain terrain keep my feet planted firmly in my modern-day flat lands but I love indulging in these mountain stories over and over again.
