about the book
Too Far Down by Mary Connealy
When an explosion kills men and damages the CR Mining Company, the Bodens realize their troubles are not behind them as they thought. Shadowy forces are still working against them.
Cole Boden finds himself caught between missing his time back East and all that New Mexico offers. Sure he fights with his siblings now and then, but he does care for them. He enjoys running the mine and, when he’s honest, he admits that Melanie Blake captures his interest in a way no other woman ever has.
Melanie has been a friend to the Bodens forever. A cowgirl who is more comfortable with horses and lassoes than people, she never expected to find herself falling for someone. Particularly for refined Cole Boden, a Harvard graduate who may not stay long at the ranch.
She’s determined, however, to help the Bodens finally put an end to the danger that’s threatened all of them. But will putting herself in harm’s way be more dangerous than anyone expected?

My Thoughts
Boy, howdy! Saddle your horse and dust off your pickax! The Cimarron Legacy series conclusion is a wild ride with nuggets of humor, family, and faith along the way!
Cole is either the most complicated of the Boden siblings… or he’s just confused about what he wants to be when he grows up. Since Cole is an intelligent, hard-working man of integrity and handsome to boot, it’s not too hard to give him the benefit of a doubt when he bungles things up!
Melanie Blake is a cowgirl through and through. She can out-ride, out-rope, and out-shoot just about anyone and everyone. I admire Mel’s determination to run her family’s ranch when the time comes and I can understand her lack of patience for certain folks who don’t seem to know their own mind.
When the entire Boden clan and their most trusted friends circle the wagons to root out the evildoers once and for all, the result will touch your heart and tickle your funny bone! Y’all can read this book as a stand-alone but I highly recommend snagging the whole series for maximum enjoyment!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

Which would you choose, reader friends?
New England region or the Southwest?
Have you read Too Far Down, reader friends?!
New England region is beautiful in the fall but the winters are horrid. It would be Southwest for me – more like home. 🙂
