As we look forward to our celebration of Christ’s birth this Christmas Sunday, I wanted to share from God’s Word.

    And the first line is…

“Gwen’s husband suffered quite the shock upon lifting her Brussels lace veil at the conclusion of their wedding ceremony.”

    Happy reading and Happy Christmas!

My first line comes from The Still of Night (A Rush of Wings Book 2) by Kristen Heitzmann

Her legs still shook under the sheet, the smooth skin mottled and stained.

  3. Merry Christmas Eve, Eve!
My first line comes from Mary Chosen of God by Diana Wallis Taylor. Such a perfect book for Christmas!
With a sigh, Mary paused to sit on a nearby rock and tie the leather strap again.

  4. Happy Christmas Eve Eve! (One of my fave lines from ‘FRIENDS’ ever!)

My First Line this week is from ‘Our Revolution’ by Bernie Sanders:

“When we began our race for the presidency in April 2015, we were considered by the political establishment and the media to be a “fringe” campaign, something not to be taken seriously.”

    Happy Reading!

  5. Merry Christmas!! You took one of THE best first lines! 😀

My first line is from a book I just received, Of Stillness and Storm by Michele Phoenix:

The sound of the fan coming on brought me out of a heavy sleep.

  6. “Nick Stafford stared at the half-buried, round-roofed dwelling and realized he couldn’t go through with the elementary school principal’s edict.” Home on the Range by Ruth Logan Herne.

  7. Chelsea Jamison snuck in the back door of Kenworth’s Department Store.
