book cover – I’d have to say A Father’s Promise. I mean, what’s not to like? Adorable baby, gorgeous setting… Oh, and the guy is kind of hunky, too. ?

Describe yourself in five words.

M: Simply hopeful, faithfully loving life.

B: That’s beautiful, Mindy!

What are some of the challenges you faced while writing A Father’s Promise?

M: My greatest challenge was coming up with the setting. My previous books were all set in the real town of Ouray, Colorado, but my editor wanted me to do a series in Texas, where I live. So creating a fictitious town was new for me. Ultimately, I pulled from several small towns to give Bliss the feel I wanted.

B: Gracious, building a town is no small feat! 

What did you learn or discover about yourself while writing A Father’s Promise?

M: I wouldn’t say I learned it, but I was reminded what a great brainstorming buddy my husband is. ?

B: Aw, so sweet! Good for him and for you!

What book are you reading right now?

M: I’m currently reading Hope Between Us by Christy LaShea.

B: Oh boy! New to me author!

What is your next release and/or what are you working on now?

M: I’m currently in the early stages of book 3, Paisley’s story. Christa’s story is book 2 and will be out in March 2021.
