Then, because of a small spending problem, Jadyn is evicted from her apartment, and she must move in with her know-it-all sister. Jadyn needs to decide between a job transfer that would place her near her love interest, or a full-time art career with all its risks.

my thoughts

Jadyn is a compassionate, creative, and hard-working young woman. She’s also a hot mess. Although my most artistic talent is tracing, I’m always fascinated by the talents and personalities of artistic characters like Jadyn. This story has an abundance of flawed, engaging characters that I want to spend more time with including Jadyn’s sister Mel, friends Lana and Travis, and secondary characters Gavin and Max. The plot is fresh and unpredictable with a uniquely satisfying conclusion.

Teal Paisley Tights is an entertaining rom-com with young adult flair and women’s fiction depth. I love the way this story tackles some of the greatest lessons we learn, especially as young adults: how to find and embrace our purpose, our worth, and our gifts. I’m definitely looking forward to more paisley, coffee, and retail therapy from Barbara Brutt!

about the author

Barbara Brutt, a born and raised Pittsburgher, spent her growing-up years with her nose in a book. After claiming her bachelor’s degree in English, she plunked down hard into a smattering of jobs from shop girl to communications director with a healthy dose of nanny and house-cleaner. Flying to new adventures is her favorite, especially on an airplane or aerial silk. Barbara adores ice cream and only buys purses that provide room for a book or two.
