I don’t know about y’all but we are ready to celebrate Christmas! The stockings are stuffed (finished a WEEK ago), the gifts are wrapped, and they’re all nestled away in our closet waiting for Christmas morning. Today is cookie baking day for us and our first shindig is tomorrow!
Tell me all about your Christmas plans! Is anyone still scrambling around for last-minute gifts? Do y’all have snow? (We hardly ever have a white Christmas, it seems like the snow always goes north or south of us. Craziness!)

Believe it or not, I don’t binge on Christmas stories in December! I like to read them throughout the year and this collection is one of my favorites! I’m looking forward to getting a print copy for my shelf in the future, it’s on my wishlist!

We definitely don’t have snow here. We’re just thankful for the few cool days we currently have after a couple of 40+ degree days (we’re talking 104+F temps!). But I did finish the last of my Christmas shopping today, and we’re heading off to my in-laws tomorrow for our first Christmas celebration. Then to my folks on Christmas Day, when my brother-in-law arrives for a nine-day stay. You could say the kids are a little excited… Lol!
Anyway, on my blog, I’m featuring the first line from a fun Christmas read called ‘Tinsel in a Tangle’ by Laurie Germaine, but here, I’m going to share the first line from another Christmas book I recently finished, this one by Chautona Havig, called ‘Carol and the Belles’:
“I’ll never get off this plane.”

I live in Florida, so no snow for us. 🙂 And, yes, I have last minute shopping to do. I’ll wake up early tomorrow and get to the stores before anyone else is there. Good thing I am naturally an early riser!

I like the idea of reading Christmas stories thoughout the year – after all, we should celebrate Jesus throughout the year (and winter stories always make more sense in winter … which is July and August here in New Zealand).
I’m sharing from All is Bright by Andrea Grigg over on my blog, a wonderful novella set in Australia … which means a summer Christmas (FYI, that’s normal for me. Not so normal for most of you, or for my Icelandic pastor and his family.)
I’m currently reading A Sweethaven Christmas by Courtney Walsh, an new favourite author. Here’s the first line:
“Why is that woman staring over here?” Lila shifted in the tall-backed linen-covered chair and nodded towards a blonde woman at the bar.
I suspect this is going to be more than a Christmas story …

I don’t mind reading Christmas stories all year long. And no snow and it is rare here, so I’d be surpeised to see it…..although we did get some a couple of weeks ago. Everyone have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
