    1. Thank you for hanging out with my reader friends while I was camping with my family, Tina! I’m delighted to see them so excited about your new release!

  1. Can’t wait for the opportunity to read this amazing sounding book!

    My first line –
It’s the little signs that end up meaning something.
MURDER ON CAPE COD by Maddie Day

  2. Fleets hunkered low, careful not to rattle the crisp fallen leaves all around her.
Sarah Loudin Thomas A SHOT AT LOVE from The Christmas Heirloom collection.

    1. Hi, Michelle. Thanks for stopping by. I love Love Inspired books too.

  3. I love Tina’s writing and have her book in my TBR pile!

I’m featuring the first line from the current book I’m reading, The Unveiling by Tamara Leigh. I love medieval, especially if it a Christian book! The first line reads: “A nightmare seized him from sleep, turned around his throat, and filled his mouth so full he could not cry out.”

It’s so good! So much action and adventure and romance. 🙂

  4. Have a good weekend! My first line is from “Somewhere Beyond the Blue: Fun sixty-something romances” – the first one is “A TIME TO PUSH DAISIES” by Marion Ueckermann:

“Caleb Blume shuffled outside onto the wooden deck of his posh Camps Bay apartment, feeling three decades older than his sixty-two years.”

  5. Happy Friday!
Today on my blog I am sharing the first line from Sandra Byrd’s novel Lady of a Thousand Treasures. I’m LOVING this book. Currently, I am on chapter 10, so I will share the first line from that chapter.

“I had no faith at all in the doctor who had been tending my uncle.”

Hope you have a great day and a wonderful weekend! ?❤️ ?

  6. Happy Friday! It is a gorgeous autumn day here with temperatures at 69* and breezy.
I enjoy reading those cowboy stories.

My first line is from a book on my ever growing TBR list pile….
A Prairie Christmas Collection: 9 Historical Christmas Romances from America’s Great Plains by Tracie Peterson, Tracey Bateman, Deborah Raney, Pamela Griffin, JoAnn S. Grote, Maryn Langer, Darlene Mindrup, Janet Spaeth and Jill Stengl.

From the first novella, Take Me Home by Tracey Bateman.

    Coon’s Hollow, Iowa 1887
A frigid wind assaulted Kathleen Johnson the second she stepped off the train onto the boardwalk in front of the Coon’s Hollow station.

    Blessings, Tina

    1. Another, Tina! Waving. I am in Arizona and it’s in the seventies and I am trimming the grapefruit tree today.

  7. Raise your hand if you wish the Love Inspired Historical books were still being published. 🙁 But this looks like a great book–happy reading Beth!

  8. Happy Friday! On my blog this week I shared Uninvited by Lysa TerKeurst but I’m also currently reading Emerald Illusion by Jennifer Rodewald. I’m on chapter 12 so I’ll share the first line from there: “Clouds began to cloak the few stars that were determined to see light into the dreary hill country.” Hope you have a great weekend with plenty of reading!

  9. Thanks for a great “Cowboy + Christmas” giveaway–Best Wishes for all releases!!!

  10. I’m looking forward to starting to read Christmas books soon. On my blog, I am featuring a book by Deeanne Gist, Fair Play. Here I will share from the book I’m currently reading, The Prisoner’s Wife by Susan Page Davis. I am sharing the first line from Chapter 12 since that’s where I’m at right now. “‘Why doesn’t he waken?’ Lucy asked her mother the next day.” I wish you a wonderful weekend with lots of reading time.

  11. Hi reader friends! Thank you so much for sharing your first lines with me! I had a wonderful weekend of camping with my family and without internet ?

  12. I have to agree that you can’t go wrong with Christmas AND a cowboy. It sounds like something that I would enjoy.

  13. Happy Friday! “Are you sure it’s safe?” – first line from Worth the Wait by Karen Witemeyer in the All My Tomorrows collection. 🙂
