about the book

Sweet on You by Becky Wade (Bradford Sisters Romance book 3)

Christian Contemporary Romance
Paperback & ebook, 368 Pages
April 30th 2019 by Bethany House Publishers

Britt Bradford and Zander Ford have been the best of friends since they met thirteen years ago. Unbeknown to Britt, Zander has been in love with her for just as long.

Independent and adventurous Britt channels her talent into creating chocolates at her hometown shop. Zander is a bestselling author who’s spent the past 18 months traveling the world. He’s achieved a great deal but still lacks the only thing that ever truly mattered to him–Britt’s heart.

When Zander’s uncle dies of mysterious causes, he returns to Merryweather, Washington, to investigate, and Britt is immediately there to help. Although this throws them into close proximity, both understand that an attempt at romance could jeopardize their once-in-a-lifetime friendship. But while Britt is determined to resist any change in their relationship, Zander finds it increasingly difficult to keep his feelings hidden.

As they work together to uncover his uncle’s tangled past, will the truth of what lies between them also, finally, come to light?

my thoughts

I am delighted to report that this highly anticipated conclusion of the Bradford Sisters series exceeded my lofty expectations! Sweet on You boasts wonderfully complex characters, an exciting plot, and an endearing friends-to-romance thread that rivals the sweetness of our heroine’s chocolate shop.

As far as I’m concerned, Britt and Zander are irresistibly lovable. Britt is a fiercely independent and adventurous young woman and a chocolatier savant, what’s not to love?! Zander is loyal and compassionate and uber talented in his own right! I admire the way he takes on the role of protector like it’s as natural to him as breathing.

Books, chocolate, and friends-to-romance threads aside (because what a winning combination!!!) Sweet on You strikes just the right balance between main character focus and secondary character spotlighting to draw-in new-to-the-series-readers while returning fans have the benefit of a “the gang’s all here” vibe. I highly recommend this series and look forward to reading future stories from Becky Wade.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.
