Hello, reader friends!!! Can y’all believe April is nearly over?!

We are still shopping for a used travel trailer but maaaaaaybe today is the day we’ll meet our new home away from home. If so, I promise to Instagram it!

Yes, I still owe y’all pics of our finished flooring project but I’m going to get really real here… the house hasn’t been clean since I took the before pics, we haven’t installed trim yet, and hubby has already started on another project… so, I can clean house and wrap up DIY projects OR I can read and blog and hang with all y’all.

  2. I’m going to CFRR (but you already knew that, hee hee). It is going to be a memorable weekend of time spent with other bloggers, readers, and the authors themselves.

    My TBR pile includes The Theory of Happily Ever After by Kristin Billerbeck. The first line: “Life is filled with irony.”

  3. Seven dollars is more than I’ve spent on coffee over my entire life 🙂 Books, on the other hand… *grins*

    I’m featuring ‘No Less Days’ by Amanda G. Stevens on my blog today, but right now I’m reading ‘Presumption and Partiality’ by Rebekah Jones–a Pride & Prejudice retelling set in 1930s Arizona!

    The sun beat down cheerfully on that last day of August in the year 1932.

  4. WOW! I was going to start a new book today so I took the first book of the top of my TBR pile to list my first line. It wasn’t until I went to Lisa K’s to list my first line and also a line from page 56 that they do there that I realized this book is somewhat raunchy. I was sent the book to read. So feel free to delete the above post if you want.

    I think I’d rather read the UNINVITED CORPSE by Debra Sennefelder.

  6. Happy Friday! Seven bucks for coffee that I could get at home?? Crazy!!

    My FLF comes from a book I’m going to be reading shortly, The Good Daughter by Diane Chamberlain…….

    No one wanted to work with the man in the wheelchair . “There’s something strange about that guy,” one of my fellow students warned me in the hall outside the PT ward. “If they try to assign you to him, say no.”

  7. I just read that book a few weeks ago. Wow did it leave me in a fog from the unexpected!
    The book I’m sharing on my blog is Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate, but the book I’ll share here is the one I am currently reading called Chateau of Secrets by Melanie Dobson: “Candlelight flickered on the medieval walls as Gisele Duchant stepped into the warmth of the nave.” Hope you have a great weekend! 🙂

  8. I won a Kindle copy of this book on Goodreads recently and it’s on my never-ending TBR! And agreed, I’d probably use that seven bucks towards books because I don’t like coffee. Haha.

    I don’t drink coffee, even if I did, I would rather spend that $7.00 on more books! 😉
    I have already reserved my room for the CFRR and will be registering on the 30th! It will be about 30-40 minutes from me, I cannot wait!

    My first line is from chapter 20 of Bringing Rosie Home by Loree Lough…

    ….Fifteen minutes later, armed with the knowledge that Rosie was safe with Tina and the doctor would meet them at the ER, Rena turned on the car’s emergency flashers and drove twenty miles over the speed limit….

  16. I’ve read Shadows of Hope, and it’s an excellent novel. But I can see your point – I could get two or three books for that price!

    Over on my blog I’m sharing from Where Hope Begins by Catherine West … which I finished about four hours after starting it.

    I’m now reading A Daring Venture by Elizabeth Camden. Here’s the first line of the Prologue:
