Y’all, we are winding down the Blogiversary celebration!!! Reader friends, you have made this the BIGGEST month yet at Faithfully Bookish!
Today’s guest wears many hats and does so much to bless authors, readers, and other book bloggers! Her blog also celebrated a blogiversary this month so be sure to congratulate her on TWO years of blogging!
Remember, I can’t read all the books (no matter how hard I try) so check out my book blogging friends and find a few of us who share your bookish tastes!
About the Blogger
Sydney is a stay at home avid reader mommy-librarian who has loved books and reading from a young age.
She is an advocate for early literacy and believes that there is a book out there for everyone; it is only a matter of finding the right one.
Sydney thoroughly enjoys connecting with authors and readers online via social media and blogging at Singing Librarian Books and hopes to one day write a novel of her own.

Book Blog
Tell us a little bit about one of your favorite blog features…
Sydney: I have thoroughly enjoyed joining and participating in First Line Fridays. This has increased the interaction between my readers and me and I love it!
It originally was started by Reading is My SuperPower and Bookworm Mama, Faithfully Bookish, and my blog, SLB joined in the fun. We now have 13 bloggers on board participating and it is so much fun!
Beth: YES! FLF is a great excuse to talk about books and grow our to-be-read stacks (or piles, or planets)! Awww, look at us! ????
Tell us a little bit more about your blog…
Sydney: After moving to a new city in a new state, SLB was born in April 2015 when a stay-at-home avid reader-librarian wanted to start a new reading adventure. The goal of SLB is to promote clean content, to help authors get the word out about their books, and for readers to discover fun and new authors and books.
It is also SLB’s 2nd birthday this month and there is a grand prize giveaway running through the end of the month. You can enter the giveaway!
Beth: Congratulations on TWO years of blogging, Sydney!
Sydney: SLB Tours, launched in November 2015, was born when a need arose for quality and affordable book tours for authors. The mission statement of SLB Tours is “To provide affordable and quality events for authors/publishers and to promote family-friendly fiction to readers.”
Beth: I love this! I’m proud to participate in SLB tours 🙂
Sydney: Also, something cool about the logo is that it was designed (with ideas and feedback from myself) by one of my friends, Sharilyn Shumway. You can learn more about her here.
Beth: Thank you, Sydney, for celebrating with me today and sharing some favorite childhood novels and all about your book blog! I am counting down the days until I get to see you again and give you hugs! We’ll have to update our picture!
Your turn, readers! Congratulate Sydney on TWO years of blogging and share one of your favorite childhood books!
Don’t forget to check out Singing Librarian Books!
Congrats Sydney!!! And Erin!! I enjoy reading both your thoughts on books 🙂 My favorite childhood book is called The Teeny Tiny Woman. Read it do much the book is almost falling apart. My grandmother used to read it to me and I loved her sound effects. It’s what started my love for reading!!

Beth & Sydney, you don’t know how blessed I feel having discovered you and all your blog friends, not just as a new author but as a reader who has neglected her first love too long, partly because I don’t have time to “experiment” with books. There is nothing as frustrating as investing hours in an unfulfilling book. Now my frustration has shifted…I have too many options! 🙂 From the author perspective, you ladies who participated in the blog tour for WAITING FOR BUTTERFLIES made all the difference! You introduced me to soooo many reader friends who became my website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest friends. I know you LOVE what you do…but I also hope you know what a difference you make!
